BRL and PGW have joined forces

The professional services firm BRL BOEGE ROHDE LUEBBEHUESEN based in Hamburg and the tax consultancy and auditing firm PGW PETERS GÖTZA WELGE based in Bielefeld have joined forces. This move has PGW expand its portfolio of services significantly in strategic terms.

The two firms’ aim is to enable small and medium-sized enterprises, which are particularly strong in the East Westphalia-Lippe region, to benefit from their alliance. For this purpose, PGW and BRL will be offering comprehensive multidisciplinary consultancy services at the Bielefeld location, leveraging their unique strengths in an ideal way. PGW will contribute its sophisticated know-how and in-depth expertise in the fields of tax consultancy and auditing. BRL will add to the local office primarily the areas of legal services, restructuring advice, Risk Advisory Services (RAS), as well as restructuring and insolvency consultancy. In addition, the joining of forces has synergy effects in the fields of tax consultancy and auditing, which will even enhance the firms’ professional excellence and thus will strengthen and expand their portfolio.

By joining forces in this way, the two firms are formalizing what has been a close cooperation since 2016.

For BRL, the Bielefeld office will become the third full-service location aside from Hamburg and Berlin.

PGW currently has a team of over 40 in Bielefeld. BRL staff will be added to the local team, and the firms intend to increase the Bielefeld headcount beyond that.
